Arbors on lawns and beach

Arbor was set up on the beach south.  It is the look of  natural wood  with two nice sprays on each side.  The benches can be rented to further create the natural look on the beach.  The tall lanterns were placed at every other bench with a similar small accent of flowers fixed to the handle.

Some resorts have beautiful lawns that can be rented. Most often they will have the chairs and an arbor for you to use which is included in the rental price.  A floral designer can decorate the aisle and arbor in your colors and to your liking.

Why Hire a Wedding Coordinator?

This is your big day and your dream wedding! The day you will shine and be the center of attention.  You want to experience the glory, but do you really want to experience the pressure and headaches?  Don’t let your memories be of the things that went wrong.

Wedding planning is no easy task, specially if it is a Destination Wedding.  It is a monumental effort to tie all the pieces together to create a practical and visually beautiful event. The wedding planner is there to be a buffer and a fairy godmother to you. Your coordinator will be there the entire time and will make sure your timeline is followed; all vendors are there on time, and ready to play their part. She sees to all the details, so you can have peace of mind which frees you to enjoy your wedding day.

She is the one who will be standing in the background at your wedding while guests give you all the glory you deserve!

Myrtle Beach Wedding- Chuppah

Myrtle Beach Wedding Chuppahs can be set up on the beach outside the Myrtle Beach city limits. They are real Bamboo poles. They can be decorated with tulle, chiffon, hanging sea shells, artificial flowers or live flowers. If the wind is strong the live flowers don’t hold up as well. They add a romantic flare to your wedding along with the beautiful ocean view. These can also be set up on lawns. Pricing is determined by the travel distance and accessibility to the set up location usually between $250 -$350. On the beach holes are dug at least 2 ft. deep for each leg of the Chuppah and buried. This creates stability as we don’t want it blowing away. Setting up a Chuppah takes at least 2 hours as it is assembled pole by pole. Give us a call to order yours as soon as possible as they are becoming very popular.

Recessional Order

The Recessional is when the ceremony is over and the weddings party and parents depart. Of course, the bride and groom are the first one to leave, followed by the flower girl, ring bearer, Best Man and Maid or Matron of Honor and so on. Don’t forget the parents!! Many times the ushers or groomsmen get caught up in the fact that it’s over and forget to go back to escort the parents out. First is the Mother of the Bride and then the Mother of the Groom, then Grandparents, etc.
That is where you need a wedding coordinator waiting in the wings to remind them they are not done, yet? Then the officiant can announce where the reception is being held before everyone else jumps up.
I usually have a spot for the entire wedding party and parents to hide out until all the guests have made their way to the reception. This eliminates well wishers who will delay the picture taking from getting started. This is all preplanned at the rehearsal. It’s hard to get folks moving out of the way, but that’s why you hire me. To keep things moving.

What does the officiant fee cover?

The officiant fee covers the officiant performing the marriage ceremony.  He/she will arrive at least 20 – 30 minutes before the ceremony.  Give the marriage license to the officiant immediately so they can begin filling in their part.  Do not wait until after the ceremony to present the license because they would need to check to make sure everything is in order before the ceremony can start. The bride and groom will sign the marriage license after the ceremony and be given one copy.  The officiant will file the two Probate copies of the marriage license with the Probate Court the following week.

The fee covers travel to and from the ceremony in Horry County.  If the ceremony is in North Carolina, there would be an additional charge for travel. It covers the performing of the actual ceremony.  If you would like the officiant to be at the rehearsal the charge is $100 and has to be prearranged.

The fee covers performing the Sand Ceremony if you would like to include this in your ceremony.  This is done in lieu of the Unity Candles because they do not stay lit in the wind.  With blended families, children are often included. The couple  will need to supply a small table, tablecloth, a large vase, smaller vases for each person participating and colored sand. Sets for this can be found online or at craft stores or just create your own. This will make a sand sculpture to keep signifying the blending of lives and families.  Make sure you have some way of keeping the sand from spilling or shifting on the trip home.

Types of vows

We can give you to an officiant that will be suitable for your needs.  If you had rather have no religion in your vows, then I would suggest an officiant that is OK with that.  Some of the ministers will not do a ceremony without a prayer or religious reference.  You are free to write your own vows to each other be included in part of the ceremony if you like.

Beach Regulations

The City of Myrtle Beach does not allow weddings on the beach.  We can guide you as to locations that are outside the city limits of Myrtle Beach.  Myrtle Beach locations that are outside the city limits, North Myrtle Beach, Surfside Beach, Garden City, Litchfield Beach, Pawleys Island and Georgetown are locations along the Grand Strand that beach weddings are permitted.

The beaches are public and patrolled regularly by the Beach Patrol.  Set up for the ceremony should take place as close to the ceremony time as possible and taken down immediately after the ceremony and after pictures are done.  If any items are left on the beach after 9 PM, they are picked up by the beach patrol.  You will not get them back.  Small tents are allowed, but they can not be more than 10 ft. square.  They have to be set up behind the lifeguard stands and not blocking their view of the beach and ocean so they can do their job.

Wedding Processional

The wedding processional is possibly the grandest part of the wedding day.  When you make your first appearance & all eyes are on you, there is an atmosphere of anticipation as everyone waits nervously for you to arrive.  But do you know the order in which the bridal party should arrive & who should escort who down the aisle?  A Day of the Wedding Coordinator can offer advice,  conduct the rehearsal,  line up the wedding party,  have parents escorted in the proper order,  make sure all your chairs are in order, aisle decor, bouquets and boutonnieres are delivered to the right person, etc.
